The Olson Memorial Library would
like to welcome Thomas Freeman as the June artist of the month. Tom grew up in Nokomis, Florida and divides his time between Florida and northern Wisconsin. About five years ago, Tom set out to document the historical boathouses of his northern habitat, and began collecting photos of both the grand and humble structures built to shelter boats. He has photographed North America's most beautiful places and is sharing a number of his beautifully detailed photographs with the Eagle River community here at the library. His book "Boathouses" and a 2016 calender depicting his photos are available for purchase at the library.
Spring and summer are great times to make vacation plans to enjoy the fun and adventure the great state of Wisconsin has to offer! With so much to do and so little time, we thought highlighting resources state agencies provide to help you make your vacations plans would be a great idea. Regardless of the weather, with both indoor and outdoor options, let's get those vacation plans made.
"The soul of a community is on display at its library."
When you come through our doors we want you to feel at home, to know that you are not an interruption of our work; you are a pleasant diversion from our work.
